Interview by

Boris Herrmann, Berlin

Gerhard Trabert, 65, wants to become Federal President – at least he is running as a candidate of the left for this office in the election on February 13th. He knows of course that he has no chance against the incumbent Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is supported by the traffic light parties and the Union. In the SZ interview, the doctor, university professor and social worker Trabert talks about what his candidacy is really about.
