Wolfgang Stefinger (CSU)
Wolfgang Stefinger has been a member of the Bundestag since 2013, and in 2017 he moved in as a direct candidate for the Munich-East constituency. With 36.8 percent he achieved the best first vote result in Munich.
The 36-year-old sits on the Committee for Education, Research and Technology Assessment, the Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Board of Trustees of the Federal Agency for Civic Education and the Budget Committee.
Stefinger was born and raised in Munich and studied business administration at the university of applied sciences.
Claudia Tausend (SPD)
SPD politician Claudia Tausend has been a member of the Bundestag since 2013. She moved in on the country list. In Berlin, the 57-year-old sits on the committees for European Union affairs and for construction, housing, urban development and local authorities. The geographer was a member of the Munich city council from 1996 to 2013, and has been chairwoman of the Munich SPD since 2014. She is married and has lived in Munich since 1984 – currently in Moosach.

Vaniessa Rashid (Greens)
The Green politician Vaniessa Rashid has never been a member of the German Bundestag. This time she wants to move into parliament as a direct candidate for the constituency of Munich East, surprisingly she prevailed against Margarete Bause. Rashid has lived in Munich since 1997, currently in Neuperlach. The 30-year-old is a student and project manager. She has been campaigning for women’s rights, political participation and against right-wing extremism since she was 16.

Daniela Hauck (FDP)
The FDP politician Daniela Hauck has never been a member of the Bundestag. This time she wants to move into parliament as a direct candidate for the Munich-East constituency. Hauck has lived in Munich since 2006, currently in Schwabing. The 50-year-old works as a lawyer, is married and has three children.

Wilfried Biedermann (AfD)
Wilfried Biedermann ran for the direct mandate of the AfD from the east of Munich in 2017. It wasn’t enough for a seat in the Bundestag. Now the 69-year-old is standing again for election. Biedermann is unmarried and a businessman. He has lived in Munich for 32 years – currently in Trudering.

Julian Zieglmaier (left)
Julian Zieglmaier would like to move into the Bundestag for the first time. The politician of the left has lived in the city or in the district of Munich since he was born, currently in Berg am Laim.
