How close does the relationship of trust between three murderers and their best friend have to be for a court to convict the man of accessory to murder? Is it enough if he rented an apartment for her under his name and provided her with food? Is it enough that he visited her every two weeks, actively protecting her from exposure? Is it enough that he erected a memorial to the murderers in his living room? Is it enough that the man, like his friends, is a staunch right-wing extremist who has the words “Die Jew Die” tattooed on his stomach? Or can one assume, despite all these clues, that the man naively knew nothing: nothing about the robberies, nothing about the murders of his confidants? And that he only wanted to be one thing: a friend, a good friend?
