Both German teams continue
Union Berlin is the second German team to make it into the knockout phase of the Europa League. The capitals prevailed 1-0 (1-0) in the last group game at Belgian runners-up Royale Union Saint Gilloise on Thursday evening. SC Freiburg finished the group stage of the Europa League with a 1-1 draw at Qarabağ FK and remained undefeated in the first round.
Sven Michel (6th minute) scored the decisive goal for the team coached by Urs Fischer. At the end of the group phase, the Berliners took second place in Group D behind the Belgians, who had already been in first place, and ahead of SC Braga from Portugal
