Bayern Munich’s honorary president Uli Hoeneß teased against the financially strong competition Paris St. Germain and Manchester City. “So far they haven’t won anything. Nothing at all. The two associations don’t have a single Champions League title,” he told the podcast 11 lives, which deals critically with the life and work of Hoeneß in 16 episodes over a total of around 27 hours.
For Hoeneß, the attraction is “to show them, ‘your shitty money, that’s not enough!’” When asked about PSG’s Qatari club boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the long-time Bayern president said: “The difference between him and me is: I worked hard for the money and he got it as a gift. “

In the final of the premier class 2020, Bayern had triumphed 1-0 against PSG, last season the French prevailed in the quarter-finals after a 3-2 win in Munich and a 0-1 in the second leg thanks to the away goals rule.
“They will continue to lose to us,” said Hoeneß: “Not always, but sometimes.” That has to be the goal, “and if we win against them, I’m really happy”.
