The honorary president chatted for a quarter of an hour with coach Thomas Tuchel (49). Hoeneß is very impulsive, gesticulating wildly.

FC Bayern: Uli Hoeneß is back!
In the past few days, the club godfather has appeared more and more. After the end of the Champions League and the cup and the dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann (35), everything is being questioned at Munich – including the CEO Oliver Kahn (53). Hoeneß plays a major role there.
He is still on the supervisory board, which can recall Titan (contract until the end of 2024) at any time. There is also the spectacular rumor: The ex-president is allegedly considering installing his son Florian (43) as Kahn’s successor!
When Tuchel was introduced to Bayern, he already explained that he had previously spoken to Hoeneß! “Before signing, it was very important to me to speak to him on the phone. We also had the opportunity to talk in person this week. This is very important to me. I wanted to tell him that I’m doing my best to take good care of his club. That’s why I wanted to express my thanks to him,” said Tuchel.
In the past few days, too, Tuchel spoke about the club boss. The reason for this was a poster of the Munich Ultras shortly before the final whistle of the Champions League game against Manchester City. There, the club’s management was sharply criticized: “Goals may be missed – values of the club not! Question management policy!”

Tuchel said: “I can promise all fans that I will take care of the club’s values. I also promised Uli Hoeneß that. That everyone does their best to live by these values.”
So now the first public appearance of the two on the Bayern training ground. In a situation where boss Oliver Kahn is under enormous pressure. Kahn himself has never been on the pitch with Tuchel. So Hoeneß does it now…
By the way: Kahn was also there on the sidelines of the training session. However, he was not on the pitch, just gave autographs and disappeared again after a minute.
However, these Hoeneß scenes are not necessarily an indication that the already battered Kahn will be more firmly in the saddle in the coming days and weeks.
On May 22nd, the supervisory board – and thus also Hoeneß – decides on the future of the Bayern boss.
