Robert Lewandowski has become a world-famous brand at FC Bayern. Uli Hoeneß even trusts the striker to hold a high political office.
Also in the current season, Robert Lewandowski is the life insurance of FC Bayern with his goals. The Pole is therefore showered with praise from the former FCB President, Uli Hoeneß.
Lewandowski has developed into an identification figure for the club with his extraordinary achievements in recent years. “He is always very positive about FC Bayern and has never provoked us with irrelevant comments even in difficult times,” explains Hoeneß in an interview with the kicker. The 33-year-old is “an uncanny identification figure, especially internationally.”
But Lewandowski is not only exceptional in terms of sport, Hoeneß also emphasizes the human nature of the Pole. The striker is an “intelligent guy” with an “idea of life.” After his active career, Lewandowski therefore has many options. “I would even trust Robert to become Prime Minister in Poland if he got into politics.”
FC Bayern – Flick about Lewandowski: “Has set new standards”
In addition to Hoeneß, the 33-year-old’s former coach, Hansi Flick, is consistently positive. “He broke a lot of records that seemed to last forever, surpassed a lot that was considered unsurpassable. With his game and his goals he set new standards,” said Flick im kicker.
As an athlete, Lewandowski is beyond any doubt and a good role model for young people. “But also as a fantastic, personable person and as an impressive, great personality,” said the national coach.
The Pole is “a good guy, you can exchange ideas with him wonderfully, although his focus is so much on football, he doesn’t just have football on his mind,” said Flick.
