Tuchel wants a return to an “electric” atmosphere

The fans in German stadiums continue to protest against investors’ entry into the Bundesliga. Munich coach Tuchel is hoping for an inspiring atmosphere before the catch-up game against Union.
The fans’ boycott of sentiment in Munich’s Allianz Arena also worries the Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel thoughtfully.
“You won’t find a coach who doesn’t see it as a disadvantage that there is a boycott of mood during the game,” said Tuchel before today’s catch-up game of the German record champions in the Bundesliga (8.30 p.m.) against 1. FC Union Berlin. “Of course, every single one of us wants an atmosphere that is electric from the first minute, that they are pushed, pushed and pushed.”
Ultra fans in German stadiums have been protesting for weeks against investors’ involvement in the German Football League by remaining silent for twelve minutes at the start of games or by throwing tennis balls and chocolate coins onto the grass.
Tuchel does not want his statements to be understood as criticism of his own fans. FC Bayern’s supporters are not to blame for the fact that his team is playing “toughly” at the moment. “We are responsible for keeping the atmosphere in,” said Tuchel, recalling the Supercup last August, when champions FC Bayern lost 3-0 to DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig in their own stadium. The Munich coach would again like the opposing teams to not only have to play against his team, but also “against our audience”.
