FC Bayern Munich: Thomas Müller has Corona for the second time! – Bundesliga

Now he’s got it again!

Thomas Müller (32/has full vaccination protection) has tested positive for the corona virus for the second time. The record champions announced this on Monday evening on their website.

He is doing well, he is in domestic isolation, the club said. Müller had already contracted the corona virus during the Club World Cup in February 2021. Unforgotten: At that time he was flown back to Munich in a full body suit in a private jet.

Müller in a video on Instagram: “Unfortunately, I tested positive for the corona virus again in February. A sad anniversary, but I’m fine so far. Thank you for the get well wishes. I’ll have a good rest this week and be back in business quickly, I hope at least.”

The last Corona case at Bayern was Jamal Musiala (18). His quarantine ended last Thursday.

Now it’s Mueller again. The attacker can test himself free after seven days at the earliest, provided he is symptom-free for at least 48 hours before the test. He will definitely miss the next Bundesliga game in Frankfurt next Saturday (6:30 p.m.).

Even without Müller’s current case: The record champion is also at the top of the infection table.

Particularly striking: The superstars of Munich hit it very often. Only Robert Lewandowski (33) from the starting eleven has not been infected in the two pandemic years. In addition to the striker and goalkeeper Sven Ulreich (34), only two other Bayern stars have not had a corona: Bouna Sarr (30) and Marc Roca (25)!
