Bavaria’s sports director raves about his transfer cracker!
After Sadio Mané (30) got off the private plane at 11:28 a.m. on Tuesday and then completed the first, internal part of the medical check at the Barmherzige Brüder hospital, the new Bayern star (contract until 2025) was transferred to the luxury hotel “Mandarin Oriental” (in the center of Munich between Maximilienstrasse and Marienplatz).
Official photos, lunch with CEO Oliver Kahn (53) and a meeting with sports director Hasan Salihamidzic (45) were on the program for the Senegalese in the five-star hotel!
After meeting world star Mané, Brazzo spoke to BILD at 4:14 p.m.!
Salihamidzic to BILD: “Sadio is at the peak of his career, at a great age, is in great shape and he’s greedy for titles – he’s at exactly the right club!”

Again and again the sports director smiles contentedly during the conversation. You can clearly see how excited he is about this big deal!
Salihamidzic has been working on the transfer from Liverpool to Munich for weeks (32 million fixed transfer fee plus nine million possible bonus payments). At the beginning of May, Brazzo met with Mané consultant Björn Bezemer (agency “ROOF”, based in Munich’s posh suburb of Grünwald) on Mallorca. He won over the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations winners with his concept.
Salihamidzic: “We are all proud and happy that such a world star is coming to Bayern. Especially because such a player was on fire for Bayern from the first minute. That means a lot to all of us – to me, to the coaching team, to the whole club. It’s wonderful that we were able to win such a player for our team.”
After meeting Brazzo and staying at the “Mandarin Oriental”, Mané went to Säbener Straße. Second part of the medical check: orthopedics with the team doctors.
At 6.25 p.m. Salihamidzic came back. In front of the underground car park he took a few more selfies with fans. A supporter called out to the sports director in his black Audi RS6: “Bravo, Brazzo! Thanks for Mane. We’re proud of you.” A month after around 250 of the 1000 fans whistled at the boss at the Masters Festival in the Paulaner am Nockherberg, the mood seems to have improved considerably…
The Mané deal will finally be wrapped up on Tuesday evening. The official presentation should take place on Wednesday afternoon in the Allianz Arena!
