Corona chaos continues: Choupo-Moting tested positive

And the next one, please: As FC Bayern Munich announced, striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is now Corona-positive. The professional was among a group of five players who weren’t vaccinated, or who weren’t vaccinated until recently.
With a thin double sentence, FC Bayern Munich announced that striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has caught the corona virus. “In consultation with the responsible health department, the offensive player is in domestic isolation, according to the circumstances he is doing well,” said the club’s report. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is one of the record champions’ five professionals who have not wanted to be vaccinated so far.
Kimmich and Co. endanger success
Most recently, a number of corona infections in the area around the club caused unrest, but above all the personnel Joshua Kimmich. The 26-year-old, unvaccinated top star had to take a forced break again due to contact with a suspected corona case in his private environment, as he did at the most recent national team games. This is what happened to the defensive colleagues Josip Stanisic and Niklas Süle who tested positive. Because the corona turbulence is now endangering Munich’s sporting success, the unvaccinated professionals should have their salaries reduced according to their quarantine period.
The discussions seem to have had an effect: According to information from the “kicker”, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala, who are also in corona quarantine, have now been vaccinated against the virus. “Bild” and “Sport Bild” also reported that Joshua Kimmich and Michael Cuisance are also considering a vaccination. There was no confirmation from FC Bayern. The players Kimmich, Gnabry, Musiala, Cuisance and Choupo-Moting were missing in the last Champions League group game against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday.
