FC Bayern is still not optimally positioned at right-back. Now there is said to be interest in a Bundesliga player.

FC Bayern Munich is apparently interested in right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer 04 Leverkusen. That reported sports1. According to the report, however, no talks have taken place between the parties. At least 30 million euros are traded as a possible transfer fee. Frimpong’s contract in Leverkusen runs until 2025.

The Munich team currently does not have a strong offensive right-back. The 21-year-old Dutchman could fill exactly this role and thus act as a counterpart to left-back Alphonso Davies.

Frimpong has also been associated with BVB

Frimpong was trained at Manchester City. In 2019 he moved on to Celtic Glasgow before Leverkusen signed him in January 2021 for eleven million euros. He is currently a regular there. Frimpong has two goals and eight assists in 31 competitive appearances this season.

Frimpong has recently been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, with top English and Spanish clubs also said to be interested. Apart from him, FC Bayern are also currently watching two other right-backs in Ridle Baku (VfL Wolfsburg) and Sergino Dest (FC Barcelona).
