FC Bayern – Lahm urges Kimmich to act as a role model: “How does he come to this opinion?”
Philipp Lahm questions the attitude of his former teammate Joshua Kimmich with regard to his refusal to vaccinate.
For DFB honorary captain Philipp Lahm it is incomprehensible that national player Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich No corona vaccination so far.

When asked whether he would have approached an unvaccinated teammate as the captain of FC Bayern or the DFB team, Lahm (37) replied: “Yes. I think it would have been my job to talk to him about it to convince.”
About the vaccination status of Kimmich a debate has broken outafter the 26-year-old confirmed on Saturday that he had not yet been vaccinated. He has concerns about possible long-term consequences, said Kimmich. “You can have that opinion,” says Lahm. For him, however, the question arises: “How does he come to this opinion?”
Lahm over criticism of World Cup in Qatar: “Don’t just put the pressure on the players”
Lahm, world champion from 2014 and OC boss for EURO 2024 in Germany, went to the SZEvent in the Residenztheater also responded to criticism of World Cup hosts Qatar. “Football is part of society. I would like the government to take a stance on the World Cup in Qatar. You can’t just put the pressure on the players,” he said.
During his time as captain of FC Bayern, he tried to talk to the club management when there were debates in the team as to whether it was right to hold training camps in Qatar because of the human rights situation.
