FC Barcelona: Xavi is probably looking for a striker in the Premier League
Reinforcements should come from FC Barcelona – despite empty coffers. The new coach Xavi reportedly has three attackers from the Premier League in mind.
Barcelona want to get a new striker in the winter transfer window. According to a report by the Marca Barca have targeted three English Premier League players to step up on the offensive.
Accordingly, Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, Edinson Cavani from Manchester United and Timo Werner from Chelsea are under discussion with the Catalans.
Barcelona had already been interested in all three players in the past and a new attempt is to be started this winter. City coach Pep Guardiola saw good chances for Barcelona to sign Sterling recently: “Barcelona are still an attractive club. If they want one of our players, I’m sure they can sign him,” Guardiola told the club Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona: A replacement for Agüero and Braithwaite should be found
Xavi Hernandez has officially been the new head coach at FC Barcelona since Monday. Due to the injuries of Sergio Agüero and Martin Braithwaite, he should insist that an attacker be brought in as a replacement in winter.
Agüero and Braithwaite will not be available to Barca for a while, Luuk de Jong is fit, but probably doesn’t play a role in Xavi’s plans and should be returned to his home club Sevilla FC in winter.
