FC Barcelona apparently has the best cards in the race for midfielder Franck Kessie. The Spanish newspaper reports Sports and transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio. Accordingly, the negotiations between the Catalans and the player side have recently been intensified, Kessie should have a concrete offer with an annual salary of 6.5 million euros.
Kessie is under contract with AC Milan until the end of the season, but an extension with the Rossoneri now seems unlikely. The 25-year-old Ivorian is one of the top performers at Milan and could now take the next step at an even bigger club.
Kessie convinces with its flexibility
Kessie moved to Milan from Atalanta Bergamo on loan for two years in 2017, followed by a permanent transfer. In the current season he has made 26 competitive appearances for Milan, in which he was involved in seven goals. Kessie can be used both defensively and offensively in midfield.
In Barcelona, Kessie could occupy all three midfield positions in the 4-3-3 system preferred by coach Xavi and follow in the footsteps of Sergio Busquets in the medium term. He would also be the second Ivorian to wear Blaugrana after Yaya Toure, who played for the Catalans between 2007 and 2010.
