Gerard Pique wanted to take over another club after FC Andorra. In Paris, however, he failed with his offer.
Barcelona star Gerard Pique says he failed to take over traditional French club Red Star Paris. Opposite of L’Equipe He revealed: “We were very close to buying Red Star. Unfortunately, we were a bit late in the negotiations. But I went to Paris, saw the stadium and spoke to Patrice Haddad, the owner at the time.”
Pique continued: “We immediately liked Red Star because of their history, their spectacular fans and their renovated stadium. We made a very good offer at the last minute but it didn’t come through.”
Gerard Pique is already the owner of FC Andorra
Belongs to the veteran with his company Kosmos Global Holding already FC Andorra. The club has marched from the fifth to the third Spanish division since taking over.
Red Star Paris was founded in 1897. The club currently plays in the third French league and occupies eleventh place in the table.
