FC Barcelona: Dani Alves not nominated for the Europa League

Barca have signed four well-known players, but only one trio was allowed to be called up for the Europa League.
FC Barcelona has not called up new signing Dani Alves for the Europa League. That emerges from the official squad that the Spanish giants have mustered for the knockout stages. The reason for the non-consideration of the veteran are the regulations of the UEFA. According to them, a club can only register three newcomers in winter.
Barcelona, however, signed four well-known newcomers in the past few weeks. While Alves is absent from the Europa League, Barca have called up strikers Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as well as winger Adama Traore.
Dani Alves returned to Barca in November
Alves had returned to Barca at the end of November after a brief absence from the club. The 38-year-old will only be available to the Catalans in LaLiga.
Barca failed in the preliminary round of the Champions League in a group with FC Bayern and Benfica and ended up third in the Europa League. There, the Xavi-Elf meets Napoli in the intermediate round in mid-February.
