Father and son sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing a man they believed to be a pedophile

The Loire-Atlantique Assize Court pronounced the same sentence against them. On Wednesday, a father and his son were sentenced to 20 years in prison for a murder that occurred in August 2018, in a pavilion in Saint-Nazaire, reports the newspaper West France.

Aged 50 and 26 today, they were convicted of repeatedly kicking the head and stabbing a 43-year-old man, whom they believed to be a pedophile and incestuous. A surge of violence caused by “imagined and fantasized rumors”, recalled a lawyer for the civil parties.

The two defendants, separated for 18 years after the abandonment of the father, continued to blame each other for this relentlessness. The three days of hearing did not make it possible to understand what really happened on the evening of the tragedy when the two men, very alcoholic, went “to do justice themselves”, before attempting to burn the body of their victim.
