A 14-year-old died in a parachute jump at Eisenach-Kindel airfield. The teenager crashed with his companion during a tandem jump on Saturday morning, the police said. The companion survived, according to the information, but was seriously injured.
Fatal parachute jump: cause so far unclear
As the “MDR” reports, two rescue helicopters were deployed at the accident site in addition to Autobahn 4. For their landing, the highway had to be closed for a short time. The cause of the accident was initially unknown.
