An anonymous designer team designed the creations of Gucci this time. The fashion house had parted ways with its creative director Alessandro Michele late last year.

The Gucci woman should be erotic and glamorous for autumn and winter 2023/24. With this message, the Italian luxury label introduced itself on Friday afternoon at the Milan Fashion Week. There was a lot of skin showing through sheer fabrics or not covered by clothing at all. Synthetic fur comes into play as a contrast, as a whole coat, detail or on the boots, sometimes in strong colors.

More classic garments can also be seen, with long, austere, often double-breasted coats, sometimes with extremely pronounced shoulders, and wide-cut trouser suits. Some pants fall casually well over the foot. Sequins adorn the skin-colored lingerie dresses of the evening theme. In addition, the Gucci woman can choose from an arsenal of shoes that ranges from glamor flip-flops to loafers and basketball sneakers to fur moon boots.

It’s a transitional season for Gucci. This collection was created by an anonymous design team who performed as one after the show for the final applause. At the end of last year, the fashion house parted ways with its creative director Alessandro Michele. He had previously succeeded in giving Gucci a new identity with an expressive, imaginative and often gender-neutral style. However, Michele did not want to go along with a realignment recently requested by the luxury group Kering, the owner of the brand. His successor Sabato De Sarno is now to do this. The first collection under his direction will be on view in September.

At the weekend, with Dolce & Gabbana and Giorgio Armani, among others, other top-class Italian fashions will be presented before Fashion Week ends on Monday.
