Fashion group – it’s back to business at Inditex – economy

The Zara parent company Inditex has recovered from the corona shock. In the months of August to October, the group reported more sales than ever in a third quarter. In addition, the owner of the fashion chains Zara, Bershka and Massimo Dutti started the important Christmas quarter with significant growth. Between November 1 and December 10, sales adjusted for currency effects increased by a third compared to the previous year. Compared to 2019, this is an increase of ten percent. The group has had a new boss since the end of November: Carlos Crespo, who only took over the management of the company in summer 2019, has been replaced by Oscar Garcia Maceiras. The Group’s board of directors will be chaired by the daughter of Inditex founder Marta Ortega from April next year.
