Gabriel Attal is expected today, Friday January 26, in Haute-Garonne to meet angry farmers.

The situation on the motorways has not changed for several days, the affected axes around Toulouse: A64, A62, A20, N124 and A61.

9:02 a.m. – Access to Pas de la Casa closed

In a press release, the Ariège prefecture indicates that access to Pas de la Casa, via l’Hospitalet-près-l’Andorre, will be closed from 10:00 a.m., “for an indefinite period”. A demonstration of farmers from the Pyrénées-Orientales is planned at the crossroads of the Crusade.

8:47 a.m. – Difficulties in Montauban

Between Montauban and Toulouse, the Eurocentre interchange (N°10.1) is completely closed, whatever the direction. You can exit at Saint-Jory (N°11). As a reminder, north of Montauban, the A20 is closed, in both directions, between ZI Nord (N°61) and Caussade (N°59).

8:24 a.m. – Other difficulties on the A64

Radio Vinci Autoroutes recalls this morning the difficulties on the A64, particularly in Montréjeau, near Saint-Gaudens, but also at Peyrehorade.

“Between Toulouse and Tarbes, the Montréjeau exit (N°17) of the A64, at the end of the A645, the Montréjeau exit (N°17) is prohibited for heavy goods vehicles, in both directions. To get to Spain, trucks must pass through the RN134 and the Somport tunnel. By car, to get to Spain, exit at Saint-Gaudens (N°18) or Montréjeau (N°17), then take the RD 817,” explains Radio Vinci Autoroutes.

7:50 a.m. – First traffic jams on the ring road

This Friday morning, the first slowdowns appeared on the Toulouse ring road. First to the south of Toulouse, but also to the north. An accident is reported on avenue desUnis on Google Maps. To the west, while the N124 is closed towards Pujaudran, the first traffic jams are forming on the A624 towards Toulouse.

7:40 a.m. – Gabriel Attal in Haute-Garonne

Prime Minister Gabriel Attal will travel to Haute-Garonne this Friday afternoon to speak to farmers, the president of the FNSEA told BFMTV.

The Minister of Agriculture, Marc Fesneau and the Minister of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, Christophe Béchu, could be at his side.

6:30 a.m. – Roads still closed around Toulouse

Around Toulouse, several sections are still cut, this Friday, January 26, 2024. Here is the situation:

  • A64: cutoff between exits 26 and 27 in Carbonne, in both directions, the section is cut off to traffic.
  • N124: cutoff in both directions, the section from L’Isle-Jourdain to Pujaudran is closed.
  • A20: cutoff in the Montauban sector towards Brive and Toulouse at the Aussonne entrance (n°60).
  • A61: cutoff south of Toulouse, towards Toulouse (at the Villefranche de Lauragais interchange n°20) on the Toulouse – Narbonne link.
  • A62: the motorway is cut between Agen Ouest (n°6.1) and Montauban (n°10) in both directions, at the gates of Toulouse.
