The large demonstration on Odeonsplatz was peaceful, but the police are now investigating an action by three farmers from the Mühldorf am Inn district. After taking part in the demonstration on Monday around 4:50 p.m., the trio drove home on the A94 motorway towards Passau and decided to carry out a blockade between the Feldkirchen-West and -East junctions.
According to the police, the men drove their agricultural and forestry tractors illegally onto the main road and drove into one of the three existing lanes so that no one could get past their vehicles. The farmers were only traveling at around 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, slowing down all traffic heading towards Passau.
Police officers from the Hohenbrunn traffic police station observed this and forced the farmers to leave the motorway at the Feldkirchen-Ost junction. The officers then collected the drivers’ personal details and initiated an investigation against each of them. The police are urgently looking for witnesses and victims of the blockade on 08102/7445-0.
