Like the fishermen in Brittany, they are calling in particular for the price of non-road diesel (GNR), the fuel used daily by farmers, to be blocked.
“We are asking for a price blocked at 1 euro, today it is 1.92 euros whereas at the end of the year it was 98 cents. We cannot distribute these cost increases, if we pass on everything, it would be dramatic, ”notes the union official, also confronted with the rise in the price of feed for cattle, for example hit hard by the war in Ukraine. .
Like the entire agricultural world, he expects strong announcements from the Prime Minister today, in particular exemptions from social and employer charges and direct aid.
“We are responsible, we do not want excesses because we are aware of the difficulties affecting the French. But if we announce measures today, we will increase in power, ”warns Romain Deloustal who is waiting for reinforcements in the afternoon and says he is ready to hold the blockade for several days.
