Elton John is also coming to Germany on his farewell tour. On Thursday (7 p.m.) the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” will take him to Munich. Hardly any tickets were available the day before for the concert in the Olympic Hall. The 76-year-old was only in Frankfurt and Leipzig about a year ago. Now follows Munich and then Hamburg, Berlin, Mannheim and Cologne. The famous musician then continued to tour Europe, including Spain, France and Belgium.

The singer and pianist is one of the biggest stars in the music business. He created hits like “Your Song” or “Candle in the Wind”, a song that he rewritten as “Goodbye, England’s Rose” in 1997 for the funeral of his good friend, the former British Crown Princess Diana. In 1998 he was knighted by the Queen and since then has been allowed to call himself Sir.
