Family return for Luc Besson at the Venice Film Festival

It was a scrutinized and expected return after years of legal proceedings following the rape charges from which he emerged cleared. French director Luc Besson was on the red carpet of the 80th Venice Film Festival on Thursday evening for the presentation of his latest film in competition, “Dogman”, a very dark thriller about a young man thrown to the dogs, interpreted by Caleb Landry Jones. The author of the “Big Blue” had made the trip to the city of the Doge accompanied by his wife, Virginie Silla, and four of his children – Sateen, Thalia, Mao, whom he had with Virginie Silla and Shanna, the daughter of Maiwenn.

Earlier today, two other films from the impressive competition of this 80th edition were screened, first “El Conde” by Chilean director Pablo Larrain (“Spencer”), a historical vampire film and above all “Ferrari”. by Michael Mann, with Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari. Despite the actors’ strike in Hollywood, the American star was allowed to walk the red carpet, although the film is distributed by Amazon Prime in many countries including France.
