Only Leonor relies on pink
But only Leonor subordinated itself to the current barbie core trend in its styling. The 17-year-old stood out from her family with her pink dress. Her sister opted for a mini dress with a floral pattern. Mama Letizia put on a loose pants-blouse combination in blue and white, Papa Felipe on jeans and shirt – both in blue. Sofia, 84, accompanied the family in a green and white patterned wide summer dress.
Greta Gerwig’s (40) film adaptation of the world-famous doll, starring Margot Robbie (33) and Ryan Gosling (42), has already grossed over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office. Gerwig is the first female director to break this mark.
Traditional summer holiday in Mallorca
The royal family seems to have enjoyed the trip to the cinema. All five are in a good mood in the pictures. While King Felipe VI. traveled to Mallorca at the end of July, the rest of the family arrived a few days later for the traditional summer holiday on the Balearic island.
Felipe also keeps official appointments on site during the holidays. He also pursues his great passion. At the Copa del Rey sailing regatta in the Bay of Palma, he took second place in his boat class. At the award ceremony, he presented the winners of the other classes with the trophies.
Queen Letizia and King Felipe have been married since 2004 and have been the royal couple since June 2014. Previously, Felipe’s parents, Juan Carlos I (85), who is now living in exile, and his wife Sofia, were King and Queen of Spain from 1975 to 2014.
