The public prosecutor evokes facts “of extreme gravity”. On the night of February 21 to 22, a 40-year-old man was kidnapped and tortured on a farm road located not far from Loudéac, in the Côtes-d’Armor. It was his sister who alerted the local gendarmes after taking in his injured brother, presumably for a debt linked to cocaine and crack trafficking.
According to the gendarmes, the victim was forced into a vehicle and driven down an isolated path. There, he would have been the victim of numerous abuses: kicks, punches, burns made with a fork, violence with tree branches. Forced to undress, the man saw one of his attackers urinate on him before burning his clothes. A doctor granted him 30 thirty days of total incapacity for work (ITT).
Partially recognized facts
Two men suspected of these acts of torture and kidnapping were taken into custody. One of them, aged 25, was arrested in the Paris region. “He admits to being involved in drug trafficking, explaining that the victim owed him 3,600 euros. On the facts of violence, he only partially recognizes the facts ”, specifies the prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc Nicolas Heitz. Entrusted to the Saint-Brieuc research brigade, the investigation led to the arrest of a second man residing in Loudéac. Aged 34, he recognized the traffic but rejected the acts of violence on the other accused.
Already known to the police, the two men have been placed in pre-trial detention pending their trial in immediate appearance, which will take place on March 28. They are being prosecuted for acts of arrest, kidnapping and kidnapping followed by release before the 7th day, aggravated violence followed by incapacity for more than 8 days, and drug trafficking offences.
