Eye test for color vision deficiency – can you see all the numbers? (Video)

Watch the video: Eye test – these optical illusions show whether you have color vision deficiency.

For example, if you only see a circle with dots in this picture, you have red-green vision deficiency. The Ishihara color vision test was developed more than 100 years ago by the Japanese ophthalmologist Shinobu Ishihara to diagnose various color vision deficiencies. The test is structured in such a way that the colors cannot be distinguished based on their brightness values. This is why people with certain color vision deficiencies see no difference between the background and the symbol. Once you have discovered all the numbers, you can assume that your color vision is normal. However, monitors or screens do not allow for an exact diagnosis. Anyone who found it difficult or impossible to recognize all or some of the numbers in the tests should have a more detailed test with an ophthalmologist.
