Eye test: color blindness – can you see all the numbers? (Video)

Watch the video: Eye test – these optical illusions show if you have color blindness.

Anyone who only sees a circle with dots in this picture has red-green color blindness, for example. The Ishihara color vision test was developed more than 100 years ago by the Japanese ophthalmologist Shinobu Ishihara to diagnose different color vision deficiencies. The test is structured in such a way that the colors cannot be distinguished by their brightness values. As a result, people with certain color blindness cannot see any difference between the background and the icon. Once you have spotted all the numbers, you can assume that your color vision is normal. However, monitors or screens do not allow for an exact diagnosis. Anyone who found it difficult or impossible to recognize all or some of the numbers in the tests should have a more precise test with an ophthalmologist.
