The police have dug up a huge inventory of weapons from right-wing extremist rockers. Officers found machine guns, pistols, ammunition and Nazi memorabilia.

The police in Austria have a large arsenal of weapons Rockers secured who are attributed to the right-wing extremist scene.

More than 70 long guns were found in Upper Austria and Lower Austria, including several machine guns and submachine guns, said the Director General for Public Safety, Franz Ruf, on Thursday in Vienna. According to their own statements, the investigators also discovered around 100 handguns, around 10,000 shots of different calibers and 1,000 weapon parts that would have been suitable for the production of 500 weapons. About 550 items of Nazi memorabilia were also secured. Ten suspects were arrested, among other things, for violating the weapons law.

The investigations began after the investigators found out about the expansion plans of the rocker group “Bandidos” to Austria. There are overlaps with right-wing extremist structures, Ruf said. The action is also a blow against the “militarization of the right-wing extremist scene”.
