Explosions at US bases: Iran bombs targets in Iraq | politics

Insidious attack by the mullahs’ regime in Iran on targets in northern Iraq.

According to BILD information, there was a massive Iranian attack on the region of the city of Erbil late on Monday evening. The US consulate and a US base at the city’s airport are also said to have been attacked.

The attack used both drones that may have been launched in Iraq and six ballistic missiles that numerous reports said were fired directly from Iran at U.S. targets. It is unclear whether there were any deaths in the attack.

▶︎ US officials confirmed to American media that night that some of the Iranian missiles had struck “in the immediate vicinity of the US consulate”.

Eyewitnesses on site report attempts by the Americans to shoot down the incoming missiles and drones using anti-aircraft guns.

Nevertheless, there were at least four explosions in different locations, suggesting ballistic missile impacts.

A few minutes before the strikes, residents in various Iraqi cities, including the southern Iraqi city of Basra, more than 500 km south of Erbil, reported numerous ballistic missiles flying over from the direction of Iran.

According to reports from Iraqi journalists, several other Iranian missiles originated in the Kermanshah region, 300 km west of Tehran.

After just a few minutes they explained Iranian Revolutionary Guardsto be responsible for the attack. They attacked “terrorist nests” and “espionage objects” around Erbil. The state extremists did not reveal who or what exactly they meant by that.

Videos of heavy explosions near US objects are circulating on “X”.
