The report was received by the Society for Research into the UFO Phenomenon (GEP) on April 22 at exactly 9:29 a.m.: A 46-year-old from Markt Schwaben discovered a “peanut-shaped black spot with a kind of aura” in photos – and asked himself : Can that be a UFO? The company, based in Lüdenscheid in North Rhine-Westphalia, has been dealing with phenomena for which visitors from space could be the cause for many decades and has been documenting reported cases since 1972.
