Standing still is boring, standing still can be fatal – at least in art. That’s why artists keep setting out and exploring time and space, silence and sound, body and mind. Some of the exhibitions that will start in the coming days and weeks seem like a journey into physicality. On February 1st, for example, “Morphologies” by and with Tobias Staab and Nadja Sofie Eller in the Muffat Hall (until February 11th). The spatial, video and VR installation examines the physical that manifests itself between analog presence and digital transformation. The work of Wolfgang Flatz, on the other hand, is very analogue and physical. The Pinakothek der Moderne is dedicating a large show entitled “Flatz. Something Wrong With Physical Sculpture” from February 9th to the artist, who became known in the 1970s with his radical body sculptures and performances, which will be on view until May 5th.

The exhibition “Berlin Mon Amour” by Maximilian Kirmse, which opens on the evening of February 7th in the Graphic Collection in the Pinakothek der Moderne opened.
