Exhibition in the Munich Literature House: more than 10,000 visitors – Munich

Great success: The exhibition “Simone de Beauvoir & The Second Sex” in the Literaturhaus Munich has now attracted more than 10,000 visitors. “The great interest reflects the virulence of the topic,” the organizers comment. “The feminist debate, the reflection and discussion about gender equality, is far from over.”

In view of the demand, the running time was recently extended: You have the opportunity to visit the show on the ground floor until June 11, 2023. In the coming weeks and months there will also be additional tours offered.

Since December, the exhibition has been examining the creation and reception of Simone de Beauvoir’s feminist milestone “The Second Sex” from 1949 – and with great success: the documents, photographs, comments and exhibits continue to attract a great deal of interest; public and individual tours are regularly fully booked.

Simone de Beauvoir & The Second Sex, extended until June 11, Mon to Sun 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Literaturhaus Munich, Salvatorplatz 1, Telephone 089/2919340, literaturhaus-muenchen.de
