Ex-team-mate Danilo on Cristiano Ronaldo: “He even hits where there is no space”
Cristiano Ronaldo met Brazilian Danilo at two clubs. He remembers the Portuguese and raves about his skills.
Danilo from Juventus Turin has raved about his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. The Brazilian played with CR7 at both Real Madrid and Juve. “All the years have passed and he’s still fatal. His numbers speak for themselves,” he said and GOAL SPOX.
Above all, Danilo praised the strength of the Portuguese at the end of the game: “He even hits where there is no space,” he said, describing CR7 as “extremely effective”. “I learned a lot from him,” said the right-back.
He always got on well with Ronaldo. “We were very close at Real – and even closer at Juve. We have a good relationship,” said Danilo.
Danilo: “It’s great to see how pissed off he is sometimes”
As a friend, of course, after Ronaldo’s move from Juve to Manchester United in the summer, he also follows how the superstar does on his return to the Premier League. “As a fan, it’s great to see how he plays, how he celebrates his goals and how pissed off he is sometimes,” laughed Danilo. “That’s really cool,” said the defender.
Juventus has had a poor season so far after the departure of Ronaldo. “We miss him at Juve but we just have to focus on growing together,” said Danilo.
