Former Bundesliga professional Julian Schieber tries his hand at singing a Ballerman song. His big goal is an appearance at the Bierkönig in Mallorca.

Former soccer player Julian Schieber is now trying to be a pop singer – and dreams of a big performance in Mallorca. “We’re not Ballermann hit singers yet, but I think a primetime performance in the Bierkönig would be a great thing,” said the 34-year-old in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper.

The former striker from Borussia Dortmund, Hertha BSC, VfB Stuttgart, 1. FC Nürnberg and FC Augsburg also surprised his friends with his party song “Unter die Dusche”. “I got a lot of positive and nice reactions and messages, most of them were surprised because they didn’t expect a party hit from me,” said the former goalscorer: “Many couldn’t help but laugh and said: you’re a bully just not normal!”

When asked if scoring or singing was more difficult, the ex-forward replied: “Singing, of course! If you shoot at goal and the ball slips over your instep, it can still bounce around in the net, but if you don’t hit the note, Then it really hurts your ears!”
