  • Easy Cash has decided to invest in a new niche, the “chic flea market”, and is launching its Everso brand in Paris.
  • There are video games, leather goods, high-tech and telephony areas.
  • The goal? Attract young urbanites concerned about the environment, in particular with recycled wood furniture and more pleasant departments than those of the Easy Cash parent company.

It is true that it is easy to stroll there, in this decor of light wood and olive green. Here we are rue Saint-Denis in the very first Parisian store ofEverso, the brand of second-hand products that wants to appeal to urban and urban youth concerned about the environment.

The white steel shops and the gray PVC floor of Easy Cash, the parent company, succeeded above all in attracting a popular and male clientele. So the company decided to invest in a new niche, the “chic flea market”, summarizes the store manager, Christophe Pratlong. Today, 80% of the clientele is female, he assures us: “The beautiful attracts the beautiful, our clientele is licked. “

A Star Wars ring, an iPhone 12, Hermès squares

On the shelves, different universes come together. A video games area, with Nintendo consoles from the 1990s and a Star Wars steel ring succeeds a “luxury” area, with high-end leather goods and jewelry. Mont-Blanc pens are next to Hermès squares, a collection of glasses from Daum, colorful crockery from Sarreguemines… Further on, the telephony department displays a new iPhone 12 at 799 euros, next to wooden shells from Natural Case, green wink obliges.

An eco-bobo niche that is also a credo? Yes, the director promises. “The furniture is made from recycled wood. We could have used fake wood, it would have cost much less, ”explains Christophe Pratlong, who adds that his company has a person responsible for social and environmental responsibility, and that the paper is now recycled.

One year warranty

The affable director, all dressed in jeans, continues to visit what he calls his “cabinet of curiosities”. He unfolds a Mulberry bag from the 1950s with an integrated toiletry bag, happy with his find. Inside, a paper from the time indicates “4,300 francs”, it is today at 190 euros.

Unlike purchases on Le Bon Coin or Vinted, high-tech products are guaranteed for one year and branded bags and objects certified by experts, to prevent counterfeiting. Other stores have opened in Strasbourg and Bordeaux, one will soon open in Nice, and undoubtedly still others in Paris, promises the store manager on rue Saint-Denis.
