Even when shopping, Gen Z confuses everything – economics

Thanks to young people, industries that were thought to be dead are experiencing a comeback, such as the book trade. And companies are doing everything they can to retain this generation.

The bookseller in Hugendubel on Marienplatz remembers how they almost tore the books out of his hands the other day. Girls, 15 or 16 years old. And they quickly cleared away the little tower that he had built out of books next to the escalator, shortly after the branch opened. Some, he says, go out with two or three books under their arms, some with eight.
