The organization of Eurovision 2025 represents “a financial challenge for the SSR”, indicates its spokesperson Niklaus Leuenberger. It is too early, he pleads, to talk about figures. According to some media, the 2023 edition in Liverpool cost at least 30 million francs. The SSR notes that “we will receive a financial contribution from the EBU, and there will be ticketing and sponsorship revenue.”

This includes costs related to venues, security, advertising and other expenses,” notes the spokesperson, who slips: “We need a strong partner city that takes care of a considerable part of the costs and services .”
