Only Janik Haberer is in the first team instead of Morten Thorsby for the intermediate round game (9 p.m. / RTL) in the An der Alten Försterei stadium. Defender Diogo Leite and striker Sheraldo Becker, who were sidelined against Schalke 04 at the weekend, are back in the starting XI. The first leg in Amsterdam ended 0-0. Union needs a win to advance to the round of 16.
Ajax coach John Heitinga also made one change to his team compared to the game in Amsterdam a week ago. Instead of Owen Wijndal, former Bundesliga professional Davy Klaassen will start.
