Attacking star Paulo Dybala from AS Roma praised his coach José Mourinho to the skies before the Europa League final against Sevilla on Wednesday (9 p.m. / RTL) in Budapest.

“Everyone knows him, everyone wants to see him, and he is actually a very special trainer who treats all professionals and employees equally. That’s his secret, everyone feels important and gets that little something extra out of themselves,” said the Argentinian world champion in the “Kicker” interview about the 60-year-old. “We don’t need to talk about competence – just look at his successes.”

The Portuguese Mourinho can win his sixth European Cup title as a coach on Wednesday and would become the sole record holder. As successful as “The Special One” is, it also polarizes. “That’s football, there’s always something to talk about,” said 29-year-old Dybala, adding with a smile: “Of course Mou is a master at it too and a character that you love or hate. You can tell him the results, which he shows, but little reproach.”
