EU wants to turbocharge wind power – economy

Wind energy in Europe has a golden future, both at sea and on land, but it is also in difficult times. The ambitious expansion goals in Germany and the EU are offset by a starving industry. Siemens Energy, for example, has been in crisis for some time due to problems with its wind power division. The company is an example of an industry in which the largest European companies are all making losses. At the same time, expansion is stalling, even though wind power is already the cheapest source of electricity in many parts of the continent. And now the competition from China has also announced that it will invest in Europe and want to build turbines here in order to benefit from Europe’s energy transition. Companies like Sany, Envision and Goldwind, whose market shares in the EU have so far been very manageable, are attacking with predatory pricing.
