Ethereum Futures ETF to Begin Trading Next Week — Bloomberg Analyst Predicts

Bloomberg analysts say Ethereum futures exchange-traded funds (ETFs) could begin trading for the first time in the United States as early as next week.

On Sept. 28, Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart said, “It looks like the US SEC will give the green light to many Ethereum Futures ETFs next week.”

Seyffart’s comments came after ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said he heard the SEC wanted to “accelerate the launch of Ether ETF Futures” so that trading could begin as early as Tuesday next week.

There are currently 15 Ethereum Futures ETFs from nine applicants awaiting approval. That’s according to analysts in a note dated September 27.

Companies seeking to launch Ethereum Futures or hybrid ETF products include VanEck, ProShares, Grayscale, Volatility Shares, Bitwise, Direxion, and Roundhill.

Analysts give Ethereum Futures ETF a 90% chance of getting the green light for an October launch. Valkyrie’s Bitcoin Futures (BTF) product will become the first to hold Ethereum on October 3.

However, analysts said that “We do not expect all requests to be released.”
