Ethereum developers hint! “Merge” takes place in August. ‘If everything goes according to plan’

Preston Van Loon, the main developer of the Ethereum (ETH) network, told attendees. Permissionless, the so-called “Merge” change will occur sometime in August. If everything goes according to plan

Van Loon told 5,000 attendees that the team was going through a transition before the so-called “difficulty bomb”. If everything goes according to plan It’s August—it makes sense. If we don’t have to move [difficulty bomb]…….We have to do it as quickly as possible.”

Ethereum colleague Justin Drake says it is of utmost importance to make the merge move faster. he said “There is a strong desire to make this happen before the August difficulty bomb.”

On April 11, Ethereum developer Tim Beiko announced that The Merge may be delayed again. Despite the success of the “shadow fork test”, Beiko said that The Merge would not be implemented in June as expected, which according to Beiko, developers needed to act quickly to avoid a difficulty bomb, otherwise they did. Another update must be introduced to slow down the bomb.

“If the client developers don’t think they can deploy The Merge to mainnet before the block times slow down too much, they’ll be fine. It will have to be delayed again.”

If The Merge succeeds in August The last thing on the roadmap for Ethereum, whichIt was formerly known as Eth2. is an upgrade to sharded chains that are slated to begin rolling out in early 2023. Until then, however, The network will continue to use Layer-2, such as Polygon and Optimism, to handle scalability and high transaction volume.
