Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin Transfers 600 ETH Worth $1 Million To Coinbase

According to PeckShieldAlert, $1 million worth of Ether was transferred from a wallet controlled by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin to Coinbase.

Ethereum’s wallet vitalik.eth can600 ETH was transferred on Aug. 21. The wallet address still holds more than 3,900 ETH worth $6.5 million, according to Etherscan.

Analysis of blockchain data from Lookonchain also revealed that vitalik.eth had paid off 251,000 Rai Reflex Index (RAI) tokens on Maker and withdrew 1,000 ETH worth $1.67 million just hours before the exchange. Transfer 600 ETH to Coinbase

Blockchain analytics firm Nansen also found that two days ago Buterin had a test transfer of 0.1 ETH prior to a large transfer. Additionally, their analysts noted that the exchanges that Buterin used in this latest move differed from previous ones that had been recorded:

“According to the vitalik.eth wallet’s history, there have been more ETH transfers to Kraken. However, it’s hard to tell what the purpose of this transfer is. Therefore, we cannot provide more insights.”
