Watch the video: ET, Gollum and Alf – which actors are actually behind the popular iconic characters?

ET, Gollum and many other film creatures delight the viewers in front of the screens.

But often it is not known who is behind the cult figures.

These actors are behind the most popular characters in movies.

  1. ET

One of the most commercially successful feature films of all time is “ET – Aliens”.

The science fiction film hits theaters in 1982.

The main character inspires the audience with his goofy, loving nature.

Tamara De Treaux then slipped into the role of the extraterrestrial.

The diminutive actress is perfectly suited for the role of the extraterrestrial with her height of 79 centimeters.

For weeks, the then 22-year-old was stuck in the narrow doll made of metal and plastic. Because the work is so tiring, De Treaux shared the role with other cast members – one also of short stature, another without legs.

After ET, the American played in a few horror films – mostly in the role of fantasy characters. However, she cannot build on her success as an ET.

  1. gollum

Gollum plays a central and tragic role in both The Hobbit trilogy and The Lord of the Rings films.

The creepy creature is played by Andy Serkis.

Initially, the British actor was only supposed to lend his voice to the character.

But when Peter Jackson realizes how well Serki’s body language fits the role, the actor takes over as the character.

Andy Serkis rose to fame for his portrayal of Gollum and went on to star in films like King Kong and The Batman.

  1. alf

Alf is a 102-episode American sitcom about the eponymous alien crash-landing his spaceship in a garage.

The enthusiasm for the series (1986 -1990) is so great that the feature film follows in 1996.

The role of the extraterrestrial takes over both in all series episodes as well as in the film of the American Paul Fusco.

The actor acted as Alf’s voice, author and puppeteer at the time.

However, Fusco does not appear in any of the other films.
