Espionage is part of day-to-day business, of course also between China and the USA. Satellite reconnaissance, reconnaissance flights, high-altitude balloons – the means are always the same and both sides use them. So the high-altitude reconnaissance balloon that China is sending far over the US, more willingly than accidentally, should not be a major cause for excitement were it not for the timing and circumstances.
