The police arrested a 16-year-old who is said to have robbed a lottery shop in Erlangen. As the police announced on Monday, the young person is said to have entered the shop wearing a mask on Friday morning and demanded money with a gun. According to the information, an employee opened the cash register and the suspect is said to have withdrawn an initially unknown amount of cash from it. The 16-year-old then fled. The employee was unharmed.
According to a spokesman, it was initially unclear whether the suspect had a live firearm with him. After the robbery, the police searched for the suspect with a police helicopter and police dogs, among other things. Emergency services finally arrested the 16-year-old and the public prosecutor’s office filed an application for arrest. The youth confessed to the crime before the investigating judge. The judge suspended the arrest warrant subject to conditions, it said.
