Eric Zemmour will be able to come to Villeurbanne on Saturday, justice gives the green light

Éric Zemmour was not welcome in Villeurbanne. The socialist mayor of the commune had made this known by issuing an order prohibiting the holding of a meeting of the Reconquest! which was to be held on Saturday, and during which the politician was expected to sign his latest book. Reason: “serious risk of disturbing public order”. Except that the judge in chambers, seized by the far-right party, has just reshuffled the cards.

The administrative court of Lyon canceled, this Friday, the decree taken by the municipality of Villeurbannaise. Cédric Van Styvendael, the mayor, says “take note of this decision”.

“As soon as they decide to maintain their event, I call on the organizers to take responsibility,” he warns. And to insist: “Given the context of strong tensions at the local and national level, the risks of harm to the safety of the participants and other users of the CCVA, I have asked the prefectural services for the police to be deployed around the venue and in Villeurbanne. »
